A Gentleness of Gentians

This weekend I needed to get out of the house for some breathing space. I went to some sites owned by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust. I wasn’t expecting to find any Chiltern Gentians (Gentianella germanica), but happened to find them on three sites; Dancersend, Chinnor Hill and Oakley Hill. This is the county plant of Buckinghamshire and I will let these beautiful flowers do the talking.
