As readers of this blog will know, I am passionate about biological recording and my dream is to be paid to do it. Anyway, the National Biodiversity Network are celebrating biological recorders efforts again this year with 5 awards. I would encourage you all to think about the people that do great biological recording work and are inspiring. I have been lucky enough to be inspired by a number of people including Brian Eversham, Stuart Roberts and Darren Mann and have been writing a nomination this morning. These people do not crave recognition, they are just doing what they love, but it is lovely to celebrate their achievements.
There are 5 awards:
- Gilbert White youth award for terrestrial and freshwater wildlife
- Gilbert White adult award for terrestrial and freshwater wildlife
- David Robertson youth award for marine and coastal wildlife
- David Robertson adult award for marine and coastal wildlife
- Group award
You only have until the 31st July to nominate someone so find out more here and get nominating! 🙂
